How to find CGI proxies

December 22nd, 2006 by alex

CGI proxies are very helpful when you want to be completely anonymously. They act like a buffer between you and the outside world.

With a CGI Proxy you request the page from the proxy, and then the proxy makes the request to the page you want to view, simply giving you the result and tricking the server into thinking that the proxy made the request. As far as they are concerned, you don’t exist, and therefore your privacy is protected.

Nice article, just one question, is there really a difference between a PHP proxy and a CGI one (besides the fact that their coded in different languages)? (I don’t know much in this area so I’d like a answer)
