How to find CGI proxies
December 22nd, 2006 by alexCGI proxies are very helpful when you want to be completely anonymously. They act like a buffer between you and the outside world.
With a CGI Proxy you request the page from the proxy, and then the proxy makes the request to the page you want to view, simply giving you the result and tricking the server into thinking that the proxy made the request. As far as they are concerned, you don’t exist, and therefore your privacy is protected.
There are a lot of top proxies sites over the internet and there you can find proxies but the best way to find only CGI proxies is to search on Google, here are a few queries which will show you only CGI proxies on Google:
- Google: Start Using CGIProxy
- Google: Start browsing through this CGI-based proxy
- Google: nph-proxy.cgi
- Google: nph-proxy.pl

Nice article, just one question, is there really a difference between a PHP proxy and a CGI one (besides the fact that their coded in different languages)? (I don’t know much in this area so I’d like a answer)
